John and I will be tying the knot and we wanted to invite you to share in our celebration.  Here are the details:

We will be arriving on Thursday, March 20, so we would love to spend time with you the day or two before our nuptials should you choose to arrive early.   If you decide to join us in person, please let me know so I can plan accordingly.

We’d love to share our romantic and special day in person, but understand if you are not able to make the trip. 

John and I were introduced by Jacob and Debbie Orbach.  The Orbach's were neighbors of mine and Jacob knew John through work at GE.  They introduced us over dinner at their house.  In attendance were also Bob and Carol Lucidi.  We had a wonderful evening, full of laughs and stories and activities.  The sparks went off from the very first night we met.  And they've been going off ever since.

John proposed on Don and Cindy Chalfant's dock on Lake Tellico, one of my favorite places.  He was rather tricky about it.  He made an excuse to go there and I fell for it -- hook, line, and sinker (no pun intended).  Once on the dock, he had me look out at the wonderful panoramic view and then spun me around.  He was down on one knee.  At first I wondered what is he doing and then as he began to speak, I realized he was proposing to me!  I said yes.  Good thing I didn't fall backwards from the shock and into the water. 

We have dated a number of years (who's counting?) and had lots of fun experiences and challenges to face over the years.  After all this time, we know that our lives will continue to grow and develop together.  We knew from the beginning and still feel it now, we were made for each other!

John and I would like to thank all of our dearest family and friends for simply being here for us. You all have done so much and have made such a remarkable positive difference in our lives. We cherish the friendship and love you gave us, and continue to give to us. Thank you for visiting our wedding website and honeymoon registry. You all have blessed our lives and we can't wait to share our special day with you!
