A big thank you must go out to Jake and Jodi Denne for this one. Jake and Michael played football and shared many fun nights at 329 (their house with a few other close guys). Years later, Jake and Jodi moved out to the DC area and Jodi I began teaching together. Michael would visit many times a year and we'd all go out when ever he was in town. He always had a special way of making the night more fun when he was in town !
Five years later when we all went out to celebrate Jake and Jodi's wedding anniversary in Las Vegas, Michael surprised us with a one night visit. Some say that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. We broke that rule.
A month later I set out to visit him in Columbus and we had a wonderful weekend together. Driving back to DC, I knew this was something pretty amazing. After a year of long distance, I moved out to Columbus and Michael proposed on the 50 yard line of his football field (with hundreds of people watching) ! To this day our story is still being written and we thank all those who have helped us along the way. |
